Children's Art Exhibit
Congratulations
to student members of Susan Priest's Children's Art Class for a very
successful art exhibit in March at the Delhi Village Hall. They are:
Elizabeth and Peter Niebanck, Aileen Nealis, Quinn Kelley and Monty
Damone.
Workshops
The dates are set!
Don't miss these opportunities to learn new techniques and to hone your
artistic skills! Jeanette Koji has
agreed to give a workshop: Crinkled Rice Paper, on May 10, 2011
from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. in the community room of the Delhi Senior Living
Community, 7 Main Street, Delhi, New York. Koji will demonstrate how to use crinkled rice paper with various
mediums. This is a gorgeous technique and we are privileged that
Jeanette will show us how to do it. The cost will be $10 for members
and $15 for non-members. Please RSVP to Jeanette if you would like
to take this class. Her number is 607-746-3399. Supplies to
bring are: Masai rice paper (available locally at Artware, Oneonta, New
York), watercolor paper (140 lbs and up), watercolor and acrylic paints
and brushes.
We plan to have a
Drawing Workshop with a live model on August 27, 2011, 10 A.M.-1 P.M.,
in the basement of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 565 Andes Road, Delhi,
New York. $10 fee for members and $15 for non-members. RSVP to Susan

A Pastel Workshop
is being considered, based upon member interest. If you would like
this workshop, please contact Susan Priest.
Rotating Artist Program
If you haven't paid your
dues for this program, please send your $15.00 check ASAP to Ann Law,
Treasurer, 11646 State Highway 357, Franklin, New York 13775. We
have guaranteed locations where we rotate the artwork every three months.
This is a fantastic opportunity and great exposure!
Fair on the Square
Winter is on its way out (thank
goodness!) and we are ready to welcome warm weather activities.
Before you know it, it will be time for the Fair On the Square in Delhi,
New York. Held on the five Fridays in July. The cost is
minimal--$5.00 per night. Exposure and sales are great. Please
call Susan Priest as soon as possible at (607) 746-3220.
Call for Entries
Anyone interested in creating a work of
art to be used on the Fair On The Square tee shirts can contact Sue Priest
at (607) 746-3220. The pieces need to be submitted by the end of
April for consideration by the Fair Committee. Subject matter
relating to Delhi. No larger than 9 x 12 inches. Any medium.
Prize: free tee shirt.
